Using this tool will help you ensure that you have well seated connections on all industry standard 110 style IDC connectors. The dual impact settings is helpful for when you find that the wire is just not seating right. Standard blades are used in this tool, so if you damage or break the blade, or if you find that a job requires a Krone tool or 66 style block tool, just pick up a blade and use the same impact handle.

The blade which is included has both a punch only and a punch and cut side. If you have need to punch without trimming any extra wiring, then use the punch only side. If you want to punch and trim at the same time, then use the side that has "cut" stamped into it.
